NOT ONLY ACL
In recent years, the approach to knee sprains in athletes has evolved from a vision centered on anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury to a more complex and integrated one that includes and values the peripheral structures involved. Incomplete or superficial management of these structures can compromise rotational knee stability, increase the risk of ACL reconstruction failure, and delay or reduce the quality of return to sport.
Diagnosing the associated injuries — which may sometimes present in isolation — requires careful clinical and instrumental evaluation and a high index of suspicion. To identify them, however, one must first know them well.
The Course "Not Only ACL" has been designed to offer a comprehensive and up-to-date overview of the diagnosis, role, and treatment of peripheral injuries associated with ACL rupture. Starting from the anatomy and biomechanics of each knee compartment, analyzing imaging findings and the available reconstructive and repair techniques, the Course aims to provide practical tools for personalizing treatment, optimizing functional recovery, and reducing the risk of recurrence.
