It can be carried out both before and after surgery, to prepare the patient for the procedure or to manage post-operative recovery.

Is this programme suitable for both athletes and non-athletes? Yes, the rehabilitation programme is tailored to restore mobility, coordination, proprioception, strength and neuromotor control. Athletes will supplement their rehabilitation programme with sport-specific exercises in the gym and on the pitch.

Why choose J|medical? Choosing a specialist centre with a team of experienced physiotherapists is essential to ensure safe, effective treatment tailored to the patient’s needs. At J|medical, functional rehabilitation aims not only to facilitate physical recovery following an injury but also to maintain those results in the long term, improving the patient’s quality of life and the athlete’s performance.

Hydrokinesitherapy at J|medical

What is meant by hydrokinesitherapy? It is a therapeutic and rehabilitative practice that exploits the physical properties of water to promote functional recovery.

What exactly is it indicated for? It is indicated in all those acute and chronic pathologies that require load management.

How does it work? It exploits water characteristics and temperature (about 33°). Reduced gravity facilitates movement and reduces fatigue and pain. Can I decide independently to do it? No, it must always be prescribed by a specialist. How do you work inside the pool? One can work actively and passively, acting on joint mobility, control, strength, and the cardiovascular system.

Can I decide for myself whether to undergo hydrokinesis therapy? Absolutely not. Hydrokinesis is a genuine form of therapy and must therefore always be prescribed, tailored and recommended by a specialist. It is often only the first or second stage of a broader, more comprehensive treatment programme.

What role does the physiotherapist play in this therapeutic practice? The physiotherapist’s role, whether in or out of the pool, is to guide and supervise the patient as they perform the exercises throughout the session.

How does one exercise in the pool? Within the hydrotherapy pool, one can engage in both active and passive exercises, working on joint mobility, control, strength and the cardiovascular system. The different water depths also allow the load to be adjusted. Finally, the use of handrails, grab rails, floats, bikes and kickboards enables all the patient’s physical capabilities to be stimulated and allows activities that would otherwise be impossible outside the water to be undertaken a few days or weeks earlier.

This package includes: – Physiotherapy – Functional Re-education – Hydrokinesitherapy Physiotherapy at J|medical Physiotherapy provides the necessary support to maintain […]

["post-4628","page","type-page","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry
["GET
